What is conscience?
Is it what makes your mother tell you not to lie? Is it what makes your teacher scold you for cheating? Is it something common to all mankind? Does it differ with culture, creed or race? Is it just another word in the dictionary or is it a full blown institution? Does each individual interpret conscience the same way? Would what's right for me be right for all and would what's right for him be right for me? Why then do we have differences? Where then is the logic of diversity? What then becomes of religion? If then, why is there widespread anarchy?
Where among all this has "reason" disappeared?
Where does that leave you, me and our ancestors?

i think the line drwn between right and wrong is unique for each individual, as for religion...the four different khalifs in islam is simple proof right and wrong beliefs differ....
right and wrong do exist.and it is not the same for every one.we follow the value system accepted by our society, the one commanded in our religion,or follow our conscience..there it comes.
well,,,conscience is somewhat influenced by the former 2 and our experiences plus the environment we grow up or live in.i think we should not let it be decided only by these 'influences'..we should rather be more rational...but reason alone cannot do it...our conscience is also needed (now whats that?heheh)...we should go for what is between our rational thinking and our conscience..the middle ground.. err.. sense and sensibility?zen and motorcycle maintenance?
what ever. i dont know... nice to see ya around here blogging.. kewl.. but this crazy question is driving me crazy...aaaagh!
